New Exciting Art Initiative in Orillia!

Hello!
My name is Jade Usackas. I'm contacting you on behalf of Annexed & Co.,a new arts initiative in Orillia founded by myself, Kristine Bunker and Michael Simonds. We're launching our website and Facebook page today and we would love to have you join us and forward this message along to anyone else at the Orillia Fine Arts Association you think might be interested.
Annexed & Co. hopes to add to the already vibrant arts community in our hometown by focusing on artists working with traditional media in innovative ways, as well as those working with new media and emerging technologies. It is a great opportunity for younger members of our community to get involved in the arts and get valuable real world art experience.
We look forward to contributing to the community to enrich Orillia's art scene.
Kind Regards,
Jade Usackas

We're Excited to Announce the Launch of a New Arts Initiative in Orillia, Ontario!

We'd like to invite you to join our mailing list to stay informed about the latest news at Annexed & Co.

Annexed & Co. is a not-for-profit, volunteer run art collaborative centred on the idea of fostering an accessible, inclusive and educational arts community in Orillia. We strive to bring the best in contemporary art practices to our hometown, and show case our fellow artists in the community.

With a keen focus on artists using traditional media in innovative ways and emerging media and technologies, we hope to add to the discourse in our hometown and enrich the overall arts experience in Orillia and surrounding areas.

We've got a lot of interesting things planned for the coming months, including an art exhibition in downtown Orillia featuring student, emerging and early career artists from the community, and we want you to share in these exciting endeavours.

Flirting with the Arts

Upcoming Workshop hosted by OMAH on Sunday, June 8, 2014! Three Zephyr members are Workshop facilitators: Meg Leslie, Patti Agapi & Xavier Fernandes.

On June 8 at the OMAH (Orillia Museum of Art and History) there will be a creative extravaganza that we are calling "Flirting with the Arts"!

We have 12 incredible Ontario artists available (6 of whom hail from Orillia!) and you choose 6 of them for 6 half-hour "make and take" workshops.
This is our second event of it's kind. Our first event took place in downtown Kitchener and was a sold out/extreme success!

Tickets are $95 and include a delicious catered lunch by the amazing Mariposa Market .
We will be donating 10% of ticket sales to Orillia's Child Advocacy Centre.

Tickets are on sale at www.meglesliecreative.com and only 60 tickets are available so get yours now!

You will leave inspired, guaranteed.

Want to see what that looked like in Kitchener in February?: http://makebright.com/2014/02/flirting-with-the-artssunday-success/#more-950
We wish to thank Marci Csumrik, Re/Max for sponsoring our event and OMAH for all their support!
