NOTICE to all members
As of March 26,2014 we,
the OFAA, will no longer be utilizing Bistro 179 as a venue for shows.
It is our job as a board to work in the best interest of the entire
group.
All artists now showing at the Bistro have been notified by Linda Stremel and will pick up their work at 3 pm on that date. Please be punctual and respectful of a business atmosphere and show up on time. If
you wish, please take the liberty to talk to Anthony to make
arrangements between him and yourself to exhibit at the Bistro as an
independent artist. Be sure to sort out any liability/ personal
insurance as you will not be covered by the OFAA liability insurance.
Starry Night
will be moved from that venue to a venue TBD that is on Peter Street.
Yippee!! We will be part of the maddening throngs of art lovers Get prepared, paint your socks off and we will have a blast.
Lastly,
spring and summer will arrive, at some point. And a great gathering to
look forward to is our June potluck. This year it will be at the Langman wildlife Sanctuary on June 24th from 2 to 8 pm. This
site was used last year and enjoyed by enthusiastic members that showed
up with the yummy goodies that we always have.!! We have the absolute
best potlucks of any group!
Mark your calendars!!
Note: please take some time and
design/paint a banner. The museum did not have the banner program last
year due to renovations and now this year it has been challenging to get
people involved. My 8 year old grandson from Oakville is absolutely
beside himself that he is designing and painting a banner that will be
displayed on the streets of our fair city. Gather your loved ones
especially the youth and let them have a voice through a creative
banner. They will remember that forever!!
Warmly and with great respect:)
